3D printing technologies at JADE-CNC
JADECNC’s Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology produces highstrength, highdensity metal parts for demanding applications. For plastic parts, our Stereolithography (SLA) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) processes provide versatile options, from economical prototypes to highresolution, detailed models.
The best choice depends on your specific requirements. Below is a concise overview of our key metal and plastic 3D printing technologies.
|
Printing Technology |
Process |
Materials |
Benefits & Applications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selective Laser Melting (SLM) |
A laser selectively melts metal powder particles layer by layer. The part is built in a controlled environment (usually inert gas) to prevent oxidation. |
Typically used with stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and other metal alloys. |
Benifits: Produces dense, high-strength parts with good mechanical properties. Applications: Aerospace components, medical implants, and complex geometries. |
| Stereolithography (SLA) | A UV laser cures liquid resin in a vat, solidifying it layer by layer. | Photopolymer resins with various properties, including flexible and high-temperature options. |
Benifits: High resolution and smooth surface finish; ideal for intricate details. Applications: Jewelry, dental applications, and prototypes. |
| Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) | A laser sinters powdered material, fusing particles together to create solid parts, with no need for support structures. | Nylon, polyamides, and other thermoplastics. |
Benifits: Strong, functional parts; good for complex geometries and no support structures needed. Applications: Functional prototypes, end-use parts, and small production runs. |

FAQ
No MOQ. We really understand the RD phase specialize in supporting projects from a single prototype through to low-volume production. We understand R&D needs and apply the same rigorous process and quality control, whether for one part or one hundred.
Please provide your 3D model (STEP/IGES preferred) and 2D drawings (with critical dimensions, tolerances, material, and finish specified). We will provide a transparent, detailed quotation based on machining time, material, complexity, and post-processing, with no hidden costs.
For parts of standard complexity, our typical CNC machining lead time is 7-15 working days (from confirmed drawings/payment). We offer expedited service with delivery in 1-3 working days, subject to part evaluation and an additional rush fee.
Our standard machining tolerance is ±0.025 mm (±0.001″). For critical features, we can achieve ±0.005 mm (±0.0002″) or better, depending on part geometry and material. We will perform a DFM analysis and confirm all critical tolerances with you upon receiving your drawings.
Yes, it’s part of our standard process. We perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and can provide inspection reports (e.g., dimensional check sheets, CMM data for critical features) upon request.
